South Jersey Hoops

This blog is dedicated to South Jersey high school basketball enthusiasts. Over the years South Jersey has produced some really fine basketball programs. In the 70's the power houses were Bishop Eustace, Camden and Sacred Heart. In the 80's it was Camden, Paul VI and Cherry Hill East. In the 90's it was Camden, Shawnee, Camden Catholic, Saint Augustine and Middle Township. In the first part of our new millenium the schools are Camden, Camden Catholic, Middle Twp., Shawnee, Saint Augustine and ???. Yes there were some really good programs that I may have left out but the one constant was and is Camden High, year after year they are always a factor over 45 years of consistency. So what do you think who is the new power? Who are some of the great teams that you remember? If you had to Pick 3 coaches who would you pick? Was the Shawnee team of the early 90's the greatest team in South Jersey history or maybe the Camden team of early 70's or early 80's or was it 2000-2001 team with Wagner or maybe it was the Eustace 1973 team? Let the debate begin, also feel free to discuss the current basketball season as well, players, coaches, teams,etc.
